Phra That Chae Haeng worshiping tradition Built in 1355, Phra Borom That Chae Haeng is a Lao-style gold-decorated lotus-shaped pagoda standing at a height of 55 feet (16.8m), a few miles from downtown Nan. It is one of the North's most revered religious establishments. For years, there has been a tradition for Buddhists to come to worship this chedi. This year, the event will take place from March 13-19 at Wat Phra Borom That Chae Haeng in Nan's Phu Piang sub-district. Activities include giving alms to monks, Krua Tarn carnivals, dharma practise, pilgrimages, story-telling of the Lord Buddha's last great incarnation and antique lantern and drum competitions.
