Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony

The inaugural Millennium Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony was held for the first time on Valentine's Day 2000. The event which attracted 30 participants from 28 countries set a new Guinness World Record and put Trang on the world map. Video footage of the underwater wedding extravaganza was seen on international TV networks as well as in print media.

Given its uniqueness and popularity, Trang’s underwater wedding ceremony has become an annual event.

Although it is named the underwater wedding ceremony, the promotion was designed to promote the various interesting aspects of the traditional Thai wedding ceremony and presents an opportunity for couples from around the world to personally experience the enchanting aspects of the Thai wedding and its time-honoured traditions such as the colourful 'khan maak' procession.

Interested couples are invited to join in the 14th Underwater Wedding Ceremony. Please book by the January 29 closing date.

Package 1 Non-Diver (February 12 - 14, 2010) 30,000 THB.
    - Planting Sri-Trang trees in commemoration of the wedding at Peninsular Botanic Gardens
    - Join a parade through the decorated city streets while being cheered on by the townspeople
    - A lavish welcome party at Thumrin Thana Hotel, where participating couples will experience 'Kin Neow', a traditional pre-wedding party of Trang
    - Traditional Thai wedding ceremony featuring a blessing ritual in which scented lustral water is poured over the hands of the couple at Pak Meng Beach
    - Releasing giant clams and shrimps back to the sea
    - Kayaking to receive the Certificate of Participation in Trang Underwater Wedding 2010
    - Dinner in romantic setting of Rajamonkol Beach with music, dancing and firework display
    - Return to Bangkok by flight

Package 2 Diver (February 12 - 15, 2010) 36,000 THB.
    - Registration ceremony held underwater off Koh Kradan
    - Join a parade through the decorated city streets while being cheered on by the townspeople
    - A lavish welcome party at Thumrin Thana Hotel, where participating couples will experience 'Kin Neow', a traditional pre-wedding party of Trang
    - 1st exclusive dive at Emerald Cave
    - 2nd dive at Hin Kon Deow site, Koh Mook (colourful soft corals and seahorses)
    - Dinner in the romantic setting of Rajamonkol Beach with music, dancing and firework display
    - 3rd dive at Koh Waen
    - 4th dive to release the giant clams at Koh Kradan
    - Dinner on the Terrace, Thumrin Thana Hotel
    - Return flight to Bangkok
