The Natural World Heritage Site of Khao Yai in Nakhon Ratchasima is set to become unique running grounds for local and international runners during the Khao Yai Half Marathon on 1 March. The event will feature a 21.1 km half marathon, a 10 km mini marathon and a 5 km fun run. With Khao Yai National Park as the backdrop, the marathon’s route allows runners to take in the beautiful scenery of evergreen forests and grasslands. The park is home to 3,000 species of plants, 320 species of birds and 66 species of mammals. Application is open from now until 28 February for 3,000 applicants only. All runners will receive a medal while winners will get a trophy and a commemorative medal.
