Paknam Web: Thailand Festivals 2010

The colourful festivals of Songkran and Loy Krathong are well-known to tourists from all around the world. However, Thailand has many more unique festivals that are not always found in the guidebooks but can be just as good. Some of the Thai festivals on this website are not even well-known among Thai people. If you are planning a holiday in the Kingdom of Thailand, then make sure that you check out our Festival Diary Dates.
Songkran Pictures 2009

The Songkran Water Festival was a resounding success this year despite the protests and riots in Bangkok. These are some of the pictures that I took this week in Samut Prakan. We still have at least one more day to go. However, the government have just announced that this year Songkran is being extended for another two days until Friday! Couple this with the Songkran festival in Phra Pradaeng this weekend, that means we will have a continuous seven days of water fights! Visit the Samut Prakan Forums for more of my pictures and reports.
